Guitar Studies Vol. 1 Complete Edition

$39.99Price

This book combines all of the Volume 1 books into 1 complete edition. Additionally, the content is meant to be utilized as a quick sight-reading study guide and a supplementary resource for any guitar studies classroom or personal study regiment. Each exercise is a developmental drill composed to create fretboard familiarity in the 1st through 10th positions on the Guitar, Ukulele, and Bass. Daily consistent practice of 3-4 exercises is recommended for optimum learning. The book includes whole, half, quarter, 8th, 16th, and dotted note variations in the first position.

Furthermore, the book includes reading position exercises in keys ranging from 0-3 flats and sharps from the 1st-10th position. This is great for locating flats and sharps up and down the fretboard. Throughout my teaching experience, I have found that including at least 4 different ways to discover the notes on the fretboard has given my students more understanding of note placement. Standard notation, Tablature, Cuban Tablature, and Chord/Note Diagrams are the mediums that I use to help with fretboard familiarity and visualization. All 4 methods are rarely presented in the same guitar method book. Guitar, Ukulele, and  Bass accompaniment exercises are included at the end of each book. These will give you the vocabulary to start comping chord changes, build melodies, and know what scales to use for improvising.

The book series will continue to grow in page content, reading levels, and multiple fretted instruments like Ukulele, Mandolin, Bass, etc. I hope you enjoy this Beginning to Upper-Intermediate level book.
